Voraussetzungen

  • The ModBus address (also called ModBus Slave ID) is set to '247' by default. Please leave this address set.

  • The Energy Manager is connected to the Wattsonic inverter via ModBus RTU (two-wire cable).

Was vor der Einrichtung zu tun ist

Connect the Energy Manager via USB → RS485 cable to terminals 14 (A) or 13 (B) on the communication connector (COM2) of the inverter. Ensure correct polarity:

A: Red ferrule / orange stranded wire

B: Blue ferrule / yellow stranded wire

Set the terminating resistor for RS485/EMS as shown in the diagram at the top left.


⚠️ The app can only be set up once the USB-RS485 cable is already connected to the gateway.


In the main menu of the Energy Manager app, select System settings → ModBus RTU. Then select the entry /dev/ttyUSBX from the list and assign the following parameters:


Baud rate: 9600

Parity: None

Data bits: 8

Stop bits: 1


You can then select the Wattsonic inverter under "Set up things", "+", and the PV system should be successfully integrated.
